July 5th

MAXXXINE: Ti West’s trilogy of women in trouble concludes with MAXXXINE, a direct continuation of 2022’s X and a pseudo-sequel to 2022’s PEARL – despite the film being the subject of some controversy after an alleged altercation between lead star Mia Goth and an unnamed extra, MAXXXINE has been doing rather well for itself at the box office and it’s not hard to see why.

The story of a young ex-porn starlet being stalked by a serial killer not only boasts some incredible cinematography, but features an absolutely packed A-list cast starring the likes of Halsey, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon himself, and it probably doesn’t hurt that it’s coming fresh off the heels of two already lauded predecessors….

MAXXXINE might be destined to be a future classic. Find out for yourself when it hits theaters early this month!

July 12th

Longlegs: Just last month, we had Joshua John Miler, the son of legendary horror icon Jason Miller (THE EXORCIST), writing and directing THE EXORCISM – now it’s Oz Perkins’ (son of PSYCHO star Anthony Perkins) turn to twist the genre on its head and see if he can live up to the family legacy.

Longlegs is an occult chiller about a serial killer and the specially trained FBI Agent trying to take him down before he strikes again.

Described as an almost arthouse take on SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, Maika Monroe (GOD IS A BULLET) and Nicolas Cage (no reference necessary!) star in a film that’s plot has been mostly shrouded in secrecy.

Though exact details are scarce, initial reactions have been promising and I’m in love with both the premise and cast – Longlegs is probably one of my most hyped films of the year.
